The company announced it will live stream its content for the first time ever to the country in the coming weeks.
The company, which operates on its own website, is planning to stream more than 5 million hours of content from the company’s own content pipeline and will offer access to its content through various apps, including Android TV, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast and Google Play Movies & TV.
Lucas Entertainment, which has a team of 100 people and an annual revenue of Rs 3,000 crore, is part of the company that makes the Android TV platform, which is a subscription-based service.
The platform is a direct competitor to Apple TV and other players in the media and entertainment space.
The streaming service, which was launched in July this year, will be available to users in India and in over 200 cities across the country.
